Le Petit Theatre board members to hold press conference Thursday morning

The ongoing drama between the board of Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre and the theater's support guild ? which now has a website titled Save Le Petit ?Â*will enter a new phase tomorrow when the theater's board holds a press conference, after which there will be "a 15-minute question and answer session with board members."


Despite a series of fundraisers and some well-reviewed productions, Le Petit canceled the remainder of its season in March, leaving the future of the nearly 100-year-old community theater in question. Since then, the direction of the board has been questioned openly, with fingerpointing and angry words exchanged over the possibility of restaurateur Dickie Brennan opening an eatery in part of the space, along with a financial "angel" who claims his offer of help was spurned by the board.?
