Cool. Just about anything will grow in La. Right now I'm growing an Avocado tree, not for the fruit but as a house plant. Getting the fruit from banana and avocado trees is a complicated process. My neighbor had some banana trees as a kid in BR and we ate them, not too bad but a far cry from the grocercy store. FYI If anyone wants to grow an avocado tree as a house plant it's easy but the leaves are very toxic to animals and don't exspect any fruit, you need both male and female to get it on.
