This week's cover story looks at The New Movement theater before its doors open Saturday, March 3, at 1919 Burgundy St. On the blog, read interviews with local comics and the theater's founders.
The Wednesday "You Think You're Funny?" open-mic at Carrollton Station is the spiritual successor of several other mics from venues across town. But since 2008, when the Carrollton mic opened, it's been a nucleus for comedy in New Orleans, both literally (it's in the middle of the week) and as a dedicated mic to highlight local comics.?
