08\'s comment was directed at Saintfan, and thus generally unacceptible. However, exceptions will be made where one person, in this case SF, makes an unprovoked personal attack on another, and a third party comes to the defense of the absent third party. Sanctions are to be levied against SF and 08 is to be released of all allegations and claims against him. However, since SF is incapable of following the rules and operating with imunity, things will probably continue. Where\'s Billy, I really enjoyed learning about how he was debunking all my past arguments about efficient QBs being better for teams by proving that the teams with the most wins generally have the most efficient QBs. That was a great debate, can we bring that one back? |

With Respect to QB comparisons, isn\'t it funny that you\'ll use recent numbers to compare OUR QB with another team\'s QB, but when presented with recent numbers from another teams coach you think a comparison to OUR team\'s coach doesn\'t apply?
V-E-R-Y interesting. |

Yes, it is interesting. It\'s interesting b/c you cannot tell the difference between a pattern than has been going on fairly consistency for years, versus something that happened in one game or a couple of games.
For example, is Charles Grant one of the best DEs in the league? Hard to say. He\'s playing like it right now, but it will take continued play like that into subsequent seasons before you can say he is \"one of the best in the league\" as compared to \"one of the best this season.\" I\'m sure you can understand the difference b/w saying AB is playing well now, and AB has always been playing well. What you try to do is show that b/c someone says that he is playing well now means that he has always played well and criticism was unwarranted in the past. That just simply isn\'t true. |

Penalties are either a result of coaching or they are not. You can\'t have it both ways, whether Parcells has won a Super Bowl or not. If his team is being penalized excessively and Haz\'s team is as well, I\'m not sure where you reach a conclusion that allows you to blame Haz in the case of the Saints and NOT blame Parcells in the case of the Cowboys.
And you wonder why I say you have an agenda? Get real. |

How you can fail to miss this is beyond me.
Is it Parcells\' responsibility to correct the excessive penalties his team has? Absolutely. When Parcells, who is known for running a tight ship, coaches a team that plays ONE game or a FEW games where the commit too many penalties, it\'s an anomoly. You know that, that\'s why his teams have always been referred to as \"disciplined.\" He fixes the problem or benches or gets rid of the player(s) who make mistakes consistently. If the Saints were undisciplined this year for the FIRST TIME, it would be one thing. But when DISCIPLINE and MENTAL MISTAKES have been a KEY problem for the organization for FOUR years, and you haven\'t fixed it, it\'s an entirely different situation. If you cannot distinguish between these two concepts, then you either know nothing about football, are intentionally skewing things or arguing to protect someone based on an agenda rather than the clear facts, or you\'re just trying to start trouble. Which is it? |
