How you can fail to miss this is beyond me.
Is it Parcells\' responsibility to correct the excessive penalties his team has? Absolutely. When Parcells, who is known for running a tight ship, coaches a team that plays ONE game or a FEW games where the commit too many penalties, it\'s an anomoly. You know that, that\'s why his teams have always been referred to as \"disciplined.\" He fixes the problem or benches or gets rid of the player(s) who make mistakes consistently. If the Saints were undisciplined this year for the FIRST TIME, it would be one thing. But when DISCIPLINE and MENTAL MISTAKES have been a KEY problem for the organization for FOUR years, and you haven\'t fixed it, it\'s an entirely different situation. If you cannot distinguish between these two concepts, then you either know nothing about football, are intentionally skewing things or arguing to protect someone based on an agenda rather than the clear facts, or you\'re just trying to start trouble. Which is it? |
