Obama endorses Mitch Landrieu for mayor
 The Mitch Landrieu campaign announced this morning that the mayor has received the endorsement of President Barack Obama as Landrieu seeks re-election.* "New Orleans has always been a city of bold, resilient forward-looking people who believe in a brighter future and are committed to doing their part to shape it," Obama was quoted as saying in a statement.
