Indywood movie theater debuts tonight in the Marigny
Local organization Indywood will launch a new movie theater located at 630 Elysian Fields (between Chartres and Decatur in the old Wash-Dry-Fold) tonight, Thursday, January 23 with screenings of documentary Water Like Stone and a program of early short films by Court 13, creators of Beasts of the Southern Wild. The brainchild of brother-sister team Will Sampson and Hayley Sampson, Indywood will showcase Louisiana-focused independent films every weekend leading up to Mardi Gras.? [ Read more ]
