Oh,*Yelp. You're so useful when it comes to addresses and hours of operation, and so un-useful when it comes to anything resembling good*advice.

Witness Yelp's new*Top 100 Places to Eat*list ("100 must-try spots in the US to get your #nomnom on") which includes not a single New Orleans restaurant, bar, deli counter, food truck or second-line barbecue*rig.

The website uses something called a*"Wilson score"*to determine its findings:*

Saw that. Louisiana has two problems. First, it is basically fly-over country. East and west coasters don't even know it exists outside of "reality TV". Second, Cajun/Creole "cooking" doesn't fit their snobbish idea of haute cuisine, though some of the other places on the list don't fit either. It's more a function of who was the most clients willing to spend the time writing a Yelp review.
