1970 Jazz Fest movies to screen Thursday at Old U.S. Mint
![]() The Louisiana State Museum and Friends of the Cabildo will present two screenings of seven short films shot at the 1970 Jazz Fest on Thursday, April 17 at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Old U.S. Mint, 400 Esplanade Avenue. Shot by Don Perry, one of the founders of the New Orleans Jazz Club and a former WDSU cameraman, the films feature artists including Duke Ellington, Pete Fountain, Danny Barker, and Mahalia Jackson.?
