Film Society and Shotgun Cinema to present OUTakes Festival of LGBTQ films
The New Orleans Film Society and Shotgun Cinema have announced the lineup for the first OUTakes Film Festival, which will take place July 10-14 at The Old Firehouse, 720 Mandeville Avenue. Highlights among the festival's seven LGBTQ-themed offerings include Before You Know It, a documentary about the unique challenges facing gay seniors; Floating Skyscrapers, described as Poland's "first gay film"; To Be Takei, which examines the life of Star Trek fan favorite George Takei; and the John Waters classic Female Trouble.?
