The meeting to discuss*hail-a-cab apps like*Uber,* originally scheduled for July 22, was canceled this morning and no new date has been set. The Transportation and Airport Committee was supposed to take up legislation proposed at a*meeting last month*that would abolish a minimum time limit on for-hire vehicles and would also allow such transportation options to be arranged via smartphone.*
