Cooter Brown's Tavern opens Snooty Cooter to focus on craft beer


The Snooty Cooter, the new craft beer-focused back bar at*Cooter Brown?s Tavern (509 S. Carrollton Ave., 504-866-9104), is having a soft opening tonight and an official opening Saturday, Aug. 30. There are 20 taps of American craft and high-end import brews, with something for every palate ? with beers including Monk?s Cafe Flemish Ale, New Belgium Lips of Faith Gratzer, Yalobusha Testify, Sierra Nevada Flipside, Ayinger Bavarian Oktoberfest and Southern Tier Pumking.

Cooter Brown?s manager Jonathan Junca has been overseeing the transformation of the back bar into Snooty Cooter?s since July and says it?s been a fast-paced eight weeks turning the idea he shared with Cooter Brown's founder Larry Berestitzky into reality.? [ Read more ]
