NOLA Brewing will become the first brewery to team up with a Mardi Gras krewe to release a beer with its upcoming collaboration with the Krewe of Muses.

Muses is the popular*all-woman krewe that rides the Thursday before Mardi Gras and is well-known for its hand-decorated shoe throws. It rolls Feb. 12, 2015.

The Muses organization also works throughout the year through to support local non-profits and endeavors, and with the *collaboration with NOLA Brewing, a portion of the proceeds of the beer will benefit local women's advocacy group Women With A Vision.

The beer itself will be a session-strength Belgian style beer, which will combine the fruity characteristics of Belgian yeast with the citrus aromatics of the hops.? [ Read more ]
