Houston?s vet tapped to helm new Metairie restaurant
The Creole Cuisine Restaurant Conceptsgroup has hired longtime Houston?s general manager Robert Hardie to helm a new restaurant in the space formerly occupied by the chain's shuttered Metairie location.*
Hardie, a 26-year veteran of the Hillstone Restaurant Group, which owns Houston?s, oversaw operations at the Metairie restaurant for 17 years before the parent company announced it was closing the location on Veterans Memorial Boulevard earlier this year. Hardie also worked for seven years as general manager at the New Orleans location (1755 St. Charles Ave.; 504-524-1579; www.hillstone.com), which remains open.* When the steak and seafood bistro shuttered in May, fans of the Metairie restaurant flocked to Facebook and other social media websites to vent their frustrations. Creole Cuisine, which operates Broussard's, Kingfish and seven Big Easy Daiquiri bars among other restaurants, purchased the property at 4241 Veterans Memorial Blvd, earlier this year.? |
