Veteran New Orleans bartender Chris McMillian appears poised to open his own shop in the former Mid-City burger spot Juicy Lucy?s (133 N. Carrollton Ave.).*

City records indicate McMillian is in the process of applying for an occupational business and liquor permit at the spot, which sits near the corner of Canal Street and North Carrollton Avenue. An application for a liquor permit posted on the building's window Sept. 15 lists the temporary name as "Revel," and the applicant as Chris & Laura's Love Shack, an LLC registered to McMillian and his wife, Laura, records show.*
