Whodi --

Here\'s the name of that book. I\'m not sure if it\'s in print anymore -- in fact I\'m pretty sure it isn\'t, but I got it from the library oddly enough.

We Could\'ve Finished Last Without You: An Irreverent Look at the Atlanta Braves, the Losingest Team in Baseball for the Past 25 Years

It\'s an easy read. If you find it let me know what you think.

We just signed Hudson to a 4 year contract extension for a modest 11 million per year. What a bargain. If he were to test the market, I\'m pretty sure he\'d be able to get much more than that. GO BRAVES!

I saw that. Good move. Now if we had better outfielders, and I was sold on Smoltz going back to a starter, and Chipper hits all year, and Andrew........

VERO BEACH, Fla. -- Andruw Jones and Brian Jordan homered off an ineffective Jeff Weaver as the Atlanta Braves beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in a game called after eight innings because of rain.

Mike Hampton was extremely sharp in his first outing of the spring for the Braves, pitching two perfect innings with one strikeout. The left-handed sinkerballer got three groundouts in the second and threw 14 of his 23 pitches for strikes.

\"Wow, is all I can say. Top of his game,\" Atlanta manager Bobby Cox said. \"Movement and location -- outstanding. ... He\'s got outstanding control right now this early in the spring, which is not easy for any pitcher.\"

Especially one coming off knee surgery. Hampton said his left knee is not yet 100 percent, but it has improved since he arrived at spring training and it feels \"pretty strong.\"

Mondesi and Chipper homered yesterday.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

I hate to bring bad news to this thread, but any Braves Fan should recognize the name Rick Mahler. He died at 51. Here\'s the story:

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Former Braves pitcher and current Mets minor league coach Rick Mahler died Wednesday of a heart attack.
