Drunk History does New Orleans
![]() Now in its third season, Comedy Central's Drunk History aired its "New Orleans" episode last night, giving us a gently warped version of some pivotal New Orleans events. Drunk History*veteran*Allan McLeod narrates a history of Jean Lafitte and his involvement in the War of 1812, with an animated*Jack McBrayer (30 Rock) as Andrew Jackson. Gloria Calderon Kellett tells us how*Sam "The Banana Man" Zemurray (Silicon Valley's Thomas Middleditch) historically declared, upon tasting a banana, "I want everyone in the world to taste what?s in my mouth right now." For the story of Louis Armstrong, from his childhood and famous arrest to his discovery by Joe Oliver (The Wire's*Andre Royo, aka Bubbles), narrator Daryl Johnson drinks several Sazeracs, and child actor Miles Brown somehow, impressively, seems a natural bringing Johnson's very drunk lines to life.? |
