Todd Haynes' Carol wins top honors from New York Film Critics Circle
Director Todd Haynes' Carol, a period piece set in 1950s New York depicting a romance between a woman going through a divorce (Cate Blanchett) and a young female shop clerk (Rooney Mara), took four major awards from the influential New York Film Critics Circle yesterday. Carol won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography (Edward Lachman) of the year.? |
