The Meters to reunite in April
 During the first weekend of the 2016 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the founding quartet of Joseph "Zigaboo" Modeliste, Art Neville, Leo Nocentelli and George Porter Jr. will reunite as the Original Meters. The band performs a rare non-festival gig on Friday, April 22 at the Orpheum Theater. The Meters (dubbed as The Original Meters as opposed to other augmented lineups in The Funky Meters or The Metermen) reunited a few times in recent years, mostly making festival appearances.? |
