Several months after celebrity chef and culinary icon Paul Prudhomme died, his collection of 600 cookbooks is available for view at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum (1609 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., 504-267-7460). Prudhomme?s family donated the late chef?s culinary trove to the museum, where items are displayed and available for reference in the John and Bonnie Boyd Hospitality and Culinary Library. The collection includes cookbooks annotated by Prudhomme and inscribed volumes from foreign and American chefs, including wine and food documents and several books on food science.? |
