What New Orleans record stores are doing for Record Store Day 2016

Record Store Day has grown from an annual "support your local record store" rally to another avenue for the obsolete "industry" to cash in on the vinyl trend. Nevertheless, independent record stores around the U.S. celebrate with*day-long events, contests, giveaways and other offline incentives around the altar of "exclusive releases" for audiophile treasure troves.*(Here's the complete list*of Record Store Day releases;*I'm interested in Miracle Legion's*Portrait Of A Damaged Family and The Feelies' Uncovered.)

Among the New Orleans-y releases this weekend: Rhino is releasing Allen Toussaint's Live in Philadelphia, a live recording from 1975 pressed on 180 gram vinyl from Rhino.*Soul Jazz Records will release its New Orleans Funk Collectors 7" box set, another installment of its vital collections of rare funk, R&B and soul foundations by New Orleans artists.?
