 New Orleans' downtown honky-tonking outfit The Deslondes will follow its excellent 2015 debut full-length album with 2017's Hurry Home, out this summer on New West Records. The band premiered the music video for the album's first single "Muddy Water" on Rolling Stone. "Muddy Water" departs from the album's rock 'n' roll with a humid, finger-picked slow burn starring Riley Downing's gruff baritone cutting through lap steel, gently hammered piano and full-band harmonies.? |
