Q&A: Tav Falco on New Orleans, Alex Chilton, Panther Burns abroad, and the 'New World Order Blues'

A relatively slim round of questions to Tav Falco produced a generous deluge of anecdotes and some thoughtful meditations on the state of Tav and the world at large.

Falco's latest detour through his adventurous, razor-cut path through American music, along with the "art damage" of Panther Burns and its no wave transmutations, finds him abroad in Europe, where he's lived and worked over the last decade, producing books, film, and, of course, music ? his Panther Burns returns to New Orleans this weekend for two shows at d.b.a. on his 2018*"Contamination Tour."

On his relationship to New Orleans and Quintron & Miss *****cat:

When I was a child growing up in the backwoods of Arkansas, my mother brought me to New Orleans for a visit. We stuffed ourselves on Oyster Bienville at Antoine's, and croissants and Napoleons on Royal Street.?
