It seems that the Republicans are starting to find out what it was like for Clinton and the democrats for eight years.
Bush has in no way can be compared to Clinton. Clinton was a lying POS(Piece Of Sh*t). We are having a probleme with terrorist right now because he did nothing. Liberals are so out of touch with the true spirit of America. Why did the south go from a diehard Democratic strong hold to a Republican???? Now New York and Califronia are total liberal states???? BLAME BUSH, BLAME BUSH.....BLAME YOUR D@MN SELF. I cant say this enough, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN MISTAKES! You will not be shot for it, I promise. :brood:

All I have to say about this is very simple.

The founding father of our country, the very first President of the United States, George Washington, opposed political parties with a passion. He also opposed certain types of banking systems (the ones we run today) because they're corrupt. And, it was George Washington that believed leaving the rest of the world alone and worrying about our own country was the way to keep out of trouble.

When the 2nd President of the United States took over, the country started turning to crap. Yes, it happened that fast. In fact, Washington tuned in to politics after his departure and wrote countless articles about his disapproval with the United States' government after he stepped down.

The country we live in now-a-days is nowhere even close to what our founding fathers had drawn up. And yes, folks, this is a VERY BAD thing. We are the exact type of country that we once rebelled against.

God Bless President Washington and his genius. Every president that followed ran this country into the ground.

Euphoria 09-10-2005 09:28 AM

Its not all the Presidents fault we also have a congress and senete... but your point is very well taken and I brought up earlier was the the State (England), and New Orleans (colonials)... England taxing New Orleans and not representing New Orleans as they should. Hey recall the Boston Tea Party... the water in New Orleans needs to represent the tea.

Who was president during the Gulf War that went to Baghdad and left without completing the job. Just wondering when this trend of doing nothing first started.

That is the question of the century. If either MS or LA had voted democrat, Bush would not be president right now. Would we be better off right now? That is the question I truly cannot answer. I was not a fan of Kerry's either. I did not vote in the last election because I could not bring myself to vote for either person. I can't blame the Republicans for the candidate they ran, but the Democrats probably lost the election due to the person they chose as their representative.

Euphoria 09-10-2005 09:47 AM

I am independent and I have to tell you with the choice we had last election we would be better off with Bush over Kerry. Hinesight now also but what the hell were people thinking in LA voting for Blanco!

washington warned about having two different parties. hey and andrew jackson ran on the idea that you don't take a stance on anything. funny sounds the same as the dems. today doesn't it. andrew jackson also started the spoils system. go figure

spkb25 09-10-2005 11:45 AM

hey oldies i like your post but disagree with you on thomas jefferson. he made some mistakes but he had the right idea on government. andrew jackson really started f-ing this country up. king andrew

BoudinSandwich 09-10-2005 11:48 AM

Ok, I'll give you that on Jefferson. He did a fair enough job.

This discussion makes me think of a famous quote from my own favorite founding father:

Surverys are always such a B.S. statistic, though. It is just that, a statistic. It also can't be incredibly accurate consider the fact that I, along with every person in this world I happen to know either through the internet or real life, never even had a chance to vote. Who votes on this stuff?

spkb25 09-10-2005 01:28 PM

LOE I LIKE THAT QUOTE AND THIS ONE ALSO, ANYONE WHO FINDS LOE ATTRACTIVE SHOULD BE SHOT ON SIGHT

Someone in marketing told me once , The poll takers are registered with the polling site . Like CNN might have a group they call for the poll . Has anyone met a Nielson ??? They have that rating system .

Euphoria 09-10-2005 10:17 PM

CNN is airing a specail now... apparently FEMA paid for the disaster prepardness drill there in New Orleans with a cat 3 hurricane hitting officials all over participated including a rep from the white house. They said they knew they would need to have 1000 shelters to house the city and to be able to feen and tend to them for 100 days.

saintz08 09-10-2005 10:26 PM

Watched part of that , and almost lost my dinner .

No doubt in my mind that the hurricane should be called Katrina Brown .

I am beginning to get the feeling that Chertoff was also responsible , the homeland security chief . This is an outrage that they knew , dicussed it for 12 days had resources around and then sat and watched .

SapperSaint 09-11-2005 02:43 AM

Lets just fire everybody and start over.

Who wants me to write their name in on the ballot in '08? LOE I'm not too sure about the campain(SP?) posters. I not sure if its the pig tails but we'd need to change something.

I had to edit because this is my Dalton Hilliard post!!!!!!!

spkb25 09-11-2005 07:05 AM

if we get a new government i wqant the first new law to be that all 50 states should have to be instructed on how to make a steak sandwich and a hoagie. i am sick of it. plain and simple.

i like the idea of the poster with LOE on it sapper. the pig tails will work but the teeth man the teeth. probably have to get the man to a serious dentist.

LordOfEntropy 09-11-2005 08:10 AM

No dentist is touching these fangs, daddy-o. But in the spirit of goodwill, I shall endorse my portrait for use during the rebuilding process.

In fact, I'll print it up as 8x10's and mail them to personally to Brown and Chertoff. I'll be sure to sign it with a nice nasty lipstick smack ala Rolling Stones logo before mailing.

Embattled FEMA Director Mike Brown Resigns

By RON FOURNIER
The Associated Press
Monday, September 12, 2005

WASHINGTON -- Federal Emergency Management Agency director Mike Brown said Monday he has resigned "in the best interest of the agency and best interest of the president," three days after losing his onsite command of the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.

Brown, under fire for FEMA's performance in the Gulf Coast, said he feared he had become a distraction.

"The focus has got to be on FEMA, what the people are trying to do down there," Brown told The Associated Press.

His decision was not a surprise. Brown was abruptly recalled to Washington on Friday, a clear vote of no confidence from his superiors at the White House and the Homeland Security Department. Brown had been roundly criticized for FEMA's sluggish response to the hurricane, which has caused political problems for Bush and fellow Republicans. He also was accused of padding his resume, which Brown denied Friday.

The president ducked questions about Brown's resignation. "Maybe you know something I don't know. I've been working," the president said to reporters on an inspection tour of damage in Gulfport, Miss. Bush said he planned to talk with Brown's boss, Homeland Security Director Michael Chertoff, from Air Force One on the flight back to Washington.

"There will be plenty of time to figure out what went right and what went wrong," Bush said.

Polls show most Americans believe Bush could have done more to help Katrina's victims, though they also blame leaders of Louisiana and New Orleans. Bush's overall job approval rating is at the lowest point of his presidency.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi called Brown's departure long overdue.

"His resignation is the right thing for the country and for the people of the Gulf Coast states," she said in a statement.

Brown, who said he last talked to Bush five or six days ago, said the resignation was his idea. He spoke Saturday to White House chief of staff Andy Card, who did not request his departure, according to Brown.

"I'm turning in my resignation today," Brown said. "I think it's in the best interest of the agency and the best interest of the president to do that and get the media focused on the good things that are going on, instead of me."

Shortly after Brown was recalled to Washington last week, officials close to the FEMA director said he would probably resign. They said that even before Katrina, Brown had been planning on leaving the administration late this fall to go into the private sector.

Thanks for joining us for: The Blame Game.

Looks like the Washington Scapegoats have made the first move with the resignation of Mike Brown, director of FEMA.

The Blam game is quite simple. Every Dept. and Govt. had a plan. Some of it wasn't carried out, other parts were not thought out and other parts of the plan got bogged down in red tape. So in my opinion Brown was the first to go, so now i'd like to see it trickle down maybe as far as the police chief.

Euphoria 09-12-2005 06:07 PM

the sad thing is you can't replace the governor or mayor... unless they step down or we impeach them. Now somebody - Anybody IMPEACH THEM!!!
