An agreement between minority owner Gary Chouest and long-time New Orleans Hornets' majority owner George Shinn has been reached, league sources said Monday morning, and an annoucement regarding transfer of the team's ownership to Chouest will take place Wednesday afternoon.

Great day for NOLA. Gary was a minority owner who is local, LOCAL and I don't see anyway the team will ever move. I think they'll do a great job!

This is awesome news, im thinking of finally getting season tickets now, it all depends on who will be coach and some players moves, we should be getting some nice top shelf pickings this season on the Hornets, but we'll see, this Guy is a (BILLIONAIRE) he's already 3x richer than George Shinn and he has even more in Assets, this man is a Louisiana Tycoon, hopefully he's generous with the team, it would be awesome to get a redesign of the Arena, i really do not like the 1950's off-lime green octagon design

This may be looked at as blasphemy, but I wish they'd change the hornets name to something more New Orleansy.

I agree with u Hitta.. The New Owner should have a contest for name changing in the city.. New Orleanians are very very clever with stuff like this.

As long as we don't get Bill Laimbeer as HC. I hated that dude when he was with the Pistons. Not sure I could ever be comfortable with him as a HC for a team I pulled for!!
