I always feel these are short sighted comments about apples and oranges. Heard the exact same arguments on whether to keep the Saints and if the State of LA should put back into the team tax money it already receives from the New Orleans market.
When later learned the NFL presence brings real dollars to the community, these comments become silly. Would the 50K ever reach education? Probably not. Any why always education? |

I commented on the original article... pointed out that the attendance benchmark is also the point at which the state is no longer responsible for inducements. So 50k could end up saving like 10 million... that's a pretty good return on investment.
