Tom Benson is going to give them a new name, i was batting around some names they talking about
New Orleans:

Carnivals
Revelers
Blues

What names yall think

Blues doesn't seem to have much luck as a team name, Carnivals sounds like a bunch of cruise ships, Revelers sounds like fun though.

yeah ... sure enough ...

Blues works for me .. .I wonder if St Louis' hockey team would mind?


According to The Times-Picayune, Benson said he will seek to change the name of the Hornets to better fit New Orleans.

"We need to find a name like (Jazz)," Benson said, according to the newspaper. "Whether we can get that or let us use that, you've got to know we're working on it. We'd like to change it tomorrow. We have not gotten that approved, but we're not letting up on it, either. Because we've got a good relationship with the commissioner and his people and we're going to be on them daily to do something."

trade name with these damn jazz fans up here. Utah is the beehive state. That would put a HUGE ass smile on my face. Cause I know a bunch of fans here with utah jazz tattoos.
