I can say this... as much as Cuban is an arrogant entitled douchebag, he nailed it with his statement.

I will admit this... I am a minority. If you were to record me while I was driving, especially in traffic(I have terrible road rage), I'd make Sterling look like an ant. Some things just aren't made to be public. Unfortunately for him, it was. I don't condone what he said, but to practically force him to sell his team, it's way overboard. This reeks of Roger Goodell-ism in a new commissioner trying to make his mark and set an example. A life time ban is way too harsh imo.

I grew up in a mixed income neighborhood... I don't discriminate. I have white, black, mexican, asian friends... good friends. While I've said some dumb **** in my life, I'm no racist... but I have been ignorant. Now I don't know if the same applies to Sterling, who is a known racial discriminator, I'm just saying it doesn't always go hand and hand. I think people who are passing judgement, especially some of the celebrities, should look at themselves in the mirror and then talk.

We've all said dumb ****. If you haven't, well... you must be a saint. If we were to wire up pro athletes 24/7, I'm not sure we'd have competitive sports anymore.

I agree with you in large parts. The problem is that he is the employer of a lot of people, not only players, that are part of the group he made disparaging remarks about. The NBA is pretty much forced to be as harsh as possible about this. Its tough thou because you can't just outlaw stupid.

I have a big problem with the guy because he's a careless wealthy moron and gets what he gets. I don't pity him at all.

What I have a bigger problem with is that he was a bigot and talking about it in the privacy of his home and someone recorded it without his permission and transmitted it to the world....the problem I have is my own privacy and not his. I also do not work a multi-billion dollar corporation with hundreds of employees.

He's a sad little man and sad little men have the right to be wealthy idiot bigots in the privacy of their own home. BUT as others have said, he owns a business and it just wasn't meant to be. It can break wiretap laws in every direction, but in private business, the consequences are what they are.

Sterling purchased the Clippers in 1981 for 15m, the Clippers are presently worth an estimated 700m-1b..... He will be forced to sell and I've zero pity for any idiot that gets a $700m payday for speaking honestly.

Your correct. You can't just outlaw stupid or protect it from itself with laws.

You can however discriminate against stupidity and maintain separation. That is usually covered by the CoBC. The NFL calls it protecting the shield.

I don't think that the the NBA will be able to force him to sell. There will be a cartel of defense attorneys just waiting for that day.

Au contrair. There is always a way to vote owners out.

The league can redistribute all of his players until he is no longer owner. That will sink him, he would rather sell it for 1bn than let it vanish.

No billionaire or multimillionaire would enter into a co-op business business venture with out the ability to get rid of bad eggs.

The NFL has to vote to allow a new owner and they can vote to eject a new owner.
