There is not a lot we can do to get revenge on the league, city, and refs of Los Angeles for stealing the NFC Championship. But the Saints and Pelicans have common ownership, so we could do something to the sport that people in Los Angeles actually have any loyalty to. If the corporation could trade AD to the Warriors, the Lakers and Clippers would be locked out of a division title for many years to come.

Maybe the Lakers could afford to give one more mid level prospect for AD, but in the end, what are the odds that Lonzo Ball or whoever delivers an NBA Championship to the Pelicans? If we could hand AD to the Warriors on a silver platter this offseason, it screws LA bigtime. If that causes the Pelicans to lose more games, then they get a higher pick and quickly bounce back.

At least the refs who screwed us would hurt watching their Lakers fall behind 30 games. And LeBron's legacy would be tarnished by a late career devoid of championships. It would also add momentum to the feeling that the NBA is so stacked toward big teams that its pointless, which would help with the reforms that could actually give the Pelicans a chance some day.
