On paper, the Lakers did well by acquiring AD + they get to keep Kuzman. They still need a bench and perimeter shooters though.

All good points. The NBA has never been like the NFL. It is a super star driven league. Almost every championship of the past 40 years can be narrowed down to big name, future HoFer super stars making it happen. The 2004 Pistons is probably the only team I can think of to win a title without having big star power.
