It's bad juju blocking Nielson's career advancement. I wonder if the Saints are giving him an added title and more money. He would have likely more than tripled, easily, as DC at LSU.

Probably got some conformation that he will be in line to take over another role with the Saints long term or that a year as Asst head coach will likely put him in the frame for a NFL job
