3 things Saints fans should watch for at the Reese's Senior Bowl
By Amos Morale III | WWL The COVID-19 pandemic is still affecting the daily lives of Americans and the NFL’s day-to-day operations haven’t been spared. The draft process for both prospects and franchises will once again be different due to the coronavirus. Teams will still get a chance to evaluate prospects in person, this cycle, starting with the Reese’s Senior Bowl which began practice Tuesday. Some to the 2021 draft class’ top prospects will participate in showcase for scouts from all 32 NFL teams including the New Orleans Saints. The Senior Bowl has helped put players like tight end Adam Trautman, who impressed at last year's game, on the Saints' radar in the past. Here’s three things Saints fans should keep an eye on during this week’s Senior Bowl: Which linebackers standout? Both WWL’s Zach Strief and Deuce McAllister mentioned linebacker as a position the Saints should look at in the Draft. Saints linebacker Alex Anzalone is a free agent and Kwon Alexander is recovering from a season ending injury potentially making what was a deep position group for the Saints in 2020, a thin one heading in to this season. … https://www.radio.com/wwl/local-spor...es-senior-bowl |

As for Thor, I'd simply allow him to walk. Anyone's guess as to what happens to Kwon. So many injuries. I agree with Deuce that the Saints should consider drafting another LB, possibly early in the draft. Bring back Mike Nolan to coach up these young guys. From the limited snaps in 2020, I really like Baun . |

Baun is a real head scratcher. From what I've read we are moving him to a new position next year. Apparently, he just isn't good enough in his current role. We need sideline to sideline speed. |

Anyone else watching the Senior Bowl notice the draft order was constantly scrolling across the bottom of the screen? Anyone else notice that KC drafted last after Tampa? Somebody let something slip?

I’m not sure how we go lb in rd one before looking at a qb. If drew does indeed retire I’m not confident hill. He has a bad fumbling problem which seemed to get worse as the season went on. Regardless we need depth at qb since hill runs so much. Scoop up a lb in the middle rounds and sign a filler as they adapt if needed.

Owusu Koramoah - NOTRE DAME … a name that comes up quite a bit as of late. Sideline to sideline & is a coverage guy per his scouting report. I'm iffy on Kwon returning only because of his injury history.
Demario is a year older & needs help … again. |
