Only thing I agree with in early part of the assessment is that someone drafted in the second rd, you expect dynamic things. We shall see however I hadn’t heard much from Werner at camp & subsequent pre season games. In three years these guys will either eat crow or the Saints will have drafted another linebacker who did not live up to their draft status. |

Kwon is an exception as he was a 4th rounder for another team. | |

Yep yep. I thought former 1st rounders Queen, Kenneth Murray (Chargers) and Isaiah had "impact" as starters out of the gate. Darius Leonard (2nd rounder) & that LSU dude (Devin White) did as well so it can be done.
Stephone A & Thor (Anzalone) kinda ruined it for me. Wasn't Martez listed as a LB coming out of college too? High draft selections but for whatever reason, didn't pan out in New Orleans. Saints simply don't have the best track record with drafting or developing linebackers over the last two decades. I'm hopeful Pete Werner will be different . |

I think a majority of that came from Joe Vitt. That dude was a garbage coach. Most people would of dropped him like a bad habit but he was a crony of Paytons so that’s that. I would of love to seen Nolan mold the new LB’s. He maybe a crap coordinator but he’s a damn good LB coach. |
