Replace Eric Stokes with Greg Newsome and I agree with you. However, I’m starting to get the feeling that we’re going to trade up for Horn. I hate the idea of trading up this year with so many holes on the roster that we didn’t fill through free agency, but I do not see us just waiting to see what falls to us at 28.

The reality is we don't have significant improvement until we take a step back and move up in the draft by virtue of record, without giving up add'l draft capital... Even the teams that have historically drafted well and are perennial contenders have at least one down year among their 6-7-8 year runs... We've not allowed that inevitable process due to leaning in too much on free agency heavy contracts, and poor draft management of all-too-frequent moving up in the draft... |
