Re: Thank You Drew
It may have seemed heartbreaking for Drew to have the last game go the way it did with the bad game and the interceptions and no dome crowd. But, bigger picture, the Saints were 12-4 and made it to the second round of the playoffs. It's not like Drew spent his final year anonymously throwing passes on a 5-11 team. That would have been the sadder fate.

Not sure why you reference Tom Brady, as much as I hate to say this, a 2020 Brady to Brees comparison is apples to oranges. - Brady just threw for 289.6 YPG which is the most he has thrown for since 2016, Drew's 245 YPG is the lowest he has thrown since he was a Charger. This year Brady was at a new team, new players, new coach... Drew was in very familiar setting. - Tom Said he wanted to play until he was 45 in Aug of 2019, then 46 or 47 in Nov 2019 where also stated he set the 45 a long time ago. Now he is back to 45? It is all moot because Drew isn't going to catch Tom statistically Tom is 10 TDs ahead and only 1100 yards passing behind... Drew isn't thinking about Tom Brady right now other than "I wish I were him playing in the SB". Drew's Wife Her stating that he played injured has no significant bearing on him returning to the Saints. You want all of this to be meaningful but it just isn't. Before anyone dismisses anything that I am saying as dislike for Drew, his name is the only name that I have ever had on the back of a jersey that I have owned (other than my own). Mostly because, well wearing something with another mans name on it is not something I generally do. Maybe if Drew Brees has to watch a Saints season from the couch then participate in the painfully abbreviated post season, he will grab Sean Payton's ear and whisper 'dafuq you doin?'. |

As for Brittney's statements, I believe it shows her active support. That is critical in any decision to continue or quit. He has said the decision to return was made by them both over the past few years. |

Do you or does anyone know when Drew last played healthy Guido? Think about this, do you remember when we used to hope Drew didn't go out and have a bad game? Well now we hope Drew goes out and has a good game and that brother is you're brain ignoring your heart.. It is very subtle and happened slowly but subconsciously you know he is not consistent or healthy enough for a whole season. I wish it were not true, I wish he could get the Lee Majors overhaul and get right back out there playing with no caution. He cant, he is too cautious at this age, you can see it in his eyes when the camera is on him.:bng: |

And don't for a minute believe that Brittany doesn't have a vote. It may not be the deciding vote, but if she said she doesn't want him to return I would expect it to carry tremendous weight even if he was leaning toward returning himself. Conversely, if he was truly undecided I would expect her wishes for him to continue would carry just as much weight. That's just the way it is in a good solid marriage. |
Re: Thank You Drew
Good interview with Sean P/Kay Adams this morning on GMFootball ...
Sean says a lot however I get the impression we are moving on with Jameis Winston in 2021. If coach believes he's the guy, he's the guy. |

I totally agree with your second paragraph. I can't agree with the first because I'm a mind reader too.:p |
