If we do somehow sign him it would most likely be with the understanding that he will be our starter for the foreseeable future. The most cost effective way of doing that would be picking up his existing contract via trade. That will not preclude us from drafting and developing QB's along the way, much like the Patriots did while Brady was under center. Look at Matt Cassel and Jimmy Garoppolo.![]()
