Russell Wilson
May as well address this rumor.
First off, I don't think there is any way Seattle trades him. They were a playoff team this year, why blow it up? Secondly, if he were up for trade, Seattle would want a HUGE haul for him. Something the Saints are not in position to give. But, this is where the off season gets fun! Speculating. |
Re: Russell Wilson
You addressed it by saying it all.
All points covered. Cost in money, draft picks .....it would be a debt for Saints to take a few years to repay. Ans. No. I like RWilson. |

Re: Russell Wilson
I think Pistol Pete may want to invest in some lineman that can block.
R. Wilson is the franchise but he can't win running for his life all the time. (although he used to) |
Re: Russell Wilson
I thought this was about Russ winning the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Was hoping Demario would win though.
Anyway, congrats to Russell Wilson. Seems like a genuinely well liked guy who gives back to the community. |

Re: Russell Wilson
Wilson transferred from NC State when coach Tom O'Brien told him he was replacing him with Mike Glennon as starter heading into 2011. That killed me when I found that out years later. I was always a huge Wolfpack fan and photo editor of the NCSU newspaper, The Technician, during the late 70's. What "could'a" been.

So wait, now there is a Wilson rumor? What’s the basis?

Starting around 9:55 or so, it's worth a quick listen.

Re: Russell Wilson
Would love to have Wilson. It's never gonna happen though. He's always seemed like a classy guy and a good teammate.

Re: Russell Wilson
I love how the national narrative suddenly flipped from veteran QB's "not having enough young weapons" (Brady in NE, Rodgers) to QB's "not having enough OL protection" (Wilson).

He said that this was his first encounter of many with the NCSU freshman, Russell Wilson, and was told about the food poisoning by Wilson himself. Tim added that he was on the team bus for the excursion. This is fairly common. I've been on buses with NCSU teams on several occasions. So who is actually the :dunce:? |

Yep. The QB profession is just trying to increase their profile and leverage. Kind of like the TE-needs-to-be-paid-like-WR phenomenon a few years back. The market will settle on a middle ground, just don't expect all these shocking QB movements. |

Surprise, right? This time of year you can't believe anything that doesn't come straight from the person's own mouth, and even then it can be edited out of context. |
Re: Russell Wilson
Cut the cord on this one it’s not even a pipe dream. Someone’s sleepwalking and talked to Wilson on cloud nine——— and a half,

I'm wondering what exactly is your problem. |
Re: Russell Wilson
And by the way, mapcow, here's a shot of our editorial staff listing from one of our issues in the summer of 1979. That's me as photo editor and I'm still friends with the editor-in-chief, John. He's now with the Associated Press.

uh huh.... whatever,,, looks to me you can post fake stuff just like the rest of the "fact" checkers:dunce::beatnik: I will have to check out the food poisoning allegation.... i have family that live in Seattle... maybe they can verify for me. :bng: |

Since we can't talk football it's time for the family argument around the kitchen table. Sad.

Re: Russell Wilson
Rugby, there's a common denominator for the agitation here if you look for it...
Anyway, Russell Wilson is a great QB and leader. I'd love to see him play for the Saints but that will never happen. |

Tim simply shared this episode when Wilson was honored recently and I, in turn, shared the same here on this relevant thread. I'm not sure what your problem is, but it makes you appear to be an jerk of sorts. |
