Re: Saints and Jameis Winston reach an agreement on a 1-year deal
I'm not really a fan either. I really would rather the Saints go for a QB in the draft.
I'll eat crow if I'm wrong, but anyone wasting their money on his jersey or thinking he's gonna take the Saints to the promised land is probably going to be disappointed. Winston is backup material and an interception machine. Not to mention...he seems kind of dumb. And not like the Alvin Mack type of dumb from "The Program." Yeah he has a cannon, but it's not like he didn't have receivers in TB. Guess we'll see. Maybe I'll have crow etouffee next season. |

Re: Saints and Jameis Winston reach an agreement on a 1-year deal
Actually, it's $5.5 million PLUS incentives. The incentives total $7 million on their own. Given he had no stats last season the incentives will be classified as "unlikely to be achieved" and won't hit the books until 2022 if he does reach them. Still not bad.
