If he's 80% effective (I believe he'll be better) he's still better than 90% of the CB's in the league. It could hamper catching the ball, but he's not known much for high numbers of picks. It shouldn't affect contact or pushing off. And don't forget, Brees played with a thumb brace and he was able to throw the ball.

He was playing with a cast on his hand in the second half last week and was still pretty darn effective.

I get they are just term moves but god damn, Davenport can't string any run of games together. The physical talent is there but what use is it when you can stay on the field. But you know when he walks he will at least have one monster year get paid and probably hit the trainers table again. The picks used are not his fault but damn he was a expensive pick. Could have sat still and got Lamar Jackson and move up a few spots next year and Montez Sweat. Hindsight i know,

This roster looks like a mash unit. It's going to be a tough game but I'm hoping that coach will have them motivated and prepared for another road game.
