His awareness after the catch is ready, definitely. Knowledge of the playbook and QB tendencies, along with the added pressure of full time play..., I’m not so sure also.

But I’ve been very impressed so far and it wouldn’t surprise me if he passes up on the depth chart any vet we could afford..., very quickly.

Was Colston ready as a rookie? Maybe Callaway can follow his footsteps. It seemed as if the commentators were raving about him.

Or in 2017 when we were starting four rookies (e.g. Lattimore, Ramczyk, Williams, Kamara)?

Damnit, Sean, play the rookies, let 'em learn - Do your job and coach 'em up...

True however these guys (except AK) were high round draft selections so the expectations are a lot higher.

Marquez has shown exceptional ability however he is a undrafted gem. Remember it took Lance Moore/Slick Willie Snead adequate time to develop. I'd hate for Callaway to lose confidence at such a young age.

We'll see.

And believe that was Smash's point, that Marques Colston was selected at the end of the draft and yet Sean was forced to coach him up and look at the results...

Sean has got to get over this aversion to playing rookies with meaningful playing time - spend more time coaching, and less in the scouting offices, front office...

Don't forget that this past season was an anomaly. But, I expect you'll get your wish this year. We may have a dozen rookies on the gameday roster just to field a team under the cap.

Who'll be younger, stronger, faster, and can be moulded to what the team needs...
