But of course he's a few weeks away....

I'd put Will Lutz in that same category.

Consider the source ... Ian Fullacrap. The guy is guaranteed to be wrong. Now, if it came from Jay Glazer or Adam Schefter, maybe. Fullacrap, no.

Well Rapoport is saying a couple weeks so there is that. I doubt we can count on him right away when he gets back anyhow. Yea, defenses will be concerned enough about him to maybe open others up but I don’t expect him to get many targets.

And what is your basis for Thomas not getting many targets when he returns? Curious as to your analysis.

Even if he starts practicing today he still won’t be in game shape. I seriously doubt Payton is going to dump a full load on him his first game back. Dude is physical as all get out and nobody is going to want him to step on the field day one and get back to snatching the ball away in double coverage.
From what I hear Payton has to keep him and Davenport separated anyway. Thomas keeps on threatening to punch Davenport for taking up so much room on his bench. Wouldn’t want him to sprain his wrist and miss another year.

I didn't realize you were talking about Thomas' immediate return and not seeing many targets. I expect by the second half of the season he'll be back as the primary target in play calling.
