The Running Game
So, we have AK, Murray, Ty Montgomery, and Washington running behind a bruising full back. These guys are going to do some damage behind this O-line built for running. Sean Payton looks committed to the running game. I believe we are going to produce two thousand yard backs next season. Murray is just waiting on Payton to take the leash off and let him run.

Re: The Running Game
As much as I’d like to see this, I have to respectfully disagree that this will be the case. Payton has wasted Murray’s talent so far, don’t see him changing now. Just doesn’t seem to be in his DNA. Would we like to see 2, 1,000 yard backs? YES....Will we get it? Highly doubtful. I think Payton has his “New” project in proving he can transform Winston into a success story. Fits his personality.

Re: The Running Game
Committing to the run has been a problem. However he always has featured RBs heavily in his offense going all the way back to Bush and Thomas and he frequently has has top 10 rushing teams.

Re: The Running Game
SP will always be a pass first coach. It's been that way ever since he was OC up here with Parcells/Dallas.
Don't think he will ever commit to the run game. That's not who he is as a play caller. |

Two thousand yard rushers. Remember, you heard it here first. |

Re: The Running Game
Well the Saints got 1000+ and 700+ from Ingram/Kamara in 2017, so it’s sure possible Rugs! Both backs cleared over 1500’total yards too. The best Saints have gotten out of Murray so far is about 900 total I believe. So, passing or rushing, it would be nice getting more Murray touches. Of course, Hill took some of those “backfield yards” away from them too.
