Re: Saints Trade Up Draft.. QB pick looming?
It would be unlikely that more than two or three QB's drafted in a given year ever become regular starters in the NFL. I have no real enthusiasm or expectations for the fifth or sixth QB drafted. I have little for anything other than a couple.

Re: Saints Trade Up Draft.. QB pick looming?
The vast majority of QB's drafted each year are swings and misses. Nature of the beast. Only a handful of drafts in history have produced more than two or three QB's that have become regular starters (not even meaning successful).

Re: Saints Trade Up Draft.. QB pick looming?
We've never seen what Payton can do with a QB drafted in the first or second round. He looks for traits and high morals that he can mold into his vision for the position. Personally, I want an OT in the first because we are getting ready to spend a ton on new contracts with both our OT's I believe.

Yeah, knowing Sean & Mickey, I just have a feeling we won't be drafting players with both those 3rd round picks...

Re: Saints Trade Up Draft.. QB pick looming?
Which sucks because we generally pick quite well in the third round. I'd rather trade all of our late picks and pick up another mid round solid draft prospect to develop in our system with our coaches.
