I wonder why he can’t/if he could become the CB2 and replace Jenkins.

He is too valuable in the slot and up around the line of scrimmage to move him outside. I think he's more valuable to the team where he lines up now. Get the right guy for the boundary CB and let CJGJ do what comes naturally as an enforcer.
