Thanks for sharing that Alec Bohm play - lost my opening week of fantasy baseball by 0.25 pts because of that play...

BUT, I could've started Means over Domingo...

Re: Luck factor

The ball bounced our way in 2009. Without a doubt we were lucky all year long. Of course we've had zero luck since then. Oh well....

Re: Luck factor

Speaking of luck, wasn’t there a critical 4th and short play against the Vikings that Thomas got the first down on, but by a whisker hair, and the ball was moving in his hands as he dove over the pile. That play gets overturned and Saints lose the game. Help me out folks. What game was that? The bounty gate game ?

That’s not “luck”, That’s simply a missed call. Is it out of the player’s control? Sure, but so is the helmet required for use on gameday, the weather and location of the event, turf or grass, etc... As long as the “out of control” factors exist for each side, then the equation is balanced.

Umpires make close calls all the time, both good and bad. That relationship exists for all teams. Now, if you’re intimating that umpires & referees, or major sports executive’s deliberately harm one team in favor of another..., then again, that’s not bad “luck”, that’s another word..., one quite possibly criminal in nature.
