Yes. I'd say we trade our 1st this year and the next two years for him. But, that's a pipedream because he wouldn't be able to fit under our cap.

If we had it I'd give it but we don't. We have no ages in our bank account.

Saints have no shot at ARod.

Let's just hope we get this guy out of the NFC.

He comes off as a smug F to me. But I'm fine with his next 5 years being here looking smug in the Superbowl.

Yea, he’ll win games in the regular season and come up short every time in the playoffs except once. Sounds familiar?

That'll work for me. He came across the bad luck that occurs. At least he was very Breesian in his achievements. I have no problem with that whatsoever.

I’m not saying the guy isn’t good. Just doesn’t have the killer instinct in the playoffs. That team he had last year and the numbers he put up and having home field advantage, they should of beat any team in the nfc in the playoffs.

In all honesty, so does (and has) Tom Brady’s attitude. I see them as very similar. Rodgers never played under a coach as good as Bad Bill.

But if you take out Tom Brady, no other QB has lived up to the more than one mark. Now that Eli has retired, only Brady and maybe Rapelissbuger have multiple SB wins as QB, correct?

You have to make the call. I don't think the Saints can meet the price, but you have to at least find out.

So going by those facts is it safe to say dynasties are finally a thing of the past?

Maybe...or maybe it redefines dynasty. Did the Bills have a dynasty in the eighties when they dominated the AFC but lost 4 or 5 Super Bowls? IDK. Just a thought.

Or like the Braves in baseball. They had tremendous success in the 90s but won only 1 series. Was that a dynasty?

Yes. I have been a Braves fan since Hank Aaron as a Milwaukee Brave. That was an incredible run. Of course, some would call it a failure.

Perhaps

Re: Aaron Rodgers ... Should we ?

We're not the right team for Rodgers. But I know one that is. The Steelers ...

- Steelers get franchise QB to replace aging Big Ben
- Packers get Big Ben who should be in his final 1-2 years to then transition to Jordan Love. Packers could also get some nice draft compensation.
- By trading their superstar QB's out of conference, they avoid the conflict and drama.

Hmmm.

IDK, looks like a 50/50 split to me on who is being the biggest jerk...him or
Green Bay’s front office.

Since this is the "What If" leg of B&G...........Will AR be willing to split time With Jimmy G? Remember the Saints sending a 1st to N.E. was a done deal according to the Eggspurts, then they got Malcom Butler too!!

CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!!!!

I recently read that Rodgers voiced displeasure with the Pack front office releasing former (very brief stint here) Saints WR Jake Kumerow.

Re: Aaron Rodgers ... Should we ?

Personally, I wouldn't, and it has a whole lot less to do with how good he is than it does with him being in his 16th year in his career.

We would give everything and then be right back here in 4-5 years.

As a fan base and a team do we want to deal with another 4 years of "what does our QB have left in the tank"? I find it quite tedious and exhausting not to mention divides the fans.

from which money tree will he get paid? Don't get me wrong, I'd take him in a corn dog second, just won't, can't happen. But I'm no expert, just can't see it being feasible.

Speaking of whiny babies... Marcus Peters

League needs to implode before it gets better. They get paid way too much and all need an attitude adjustment.

Re: Aaron Rodgers ... Should we ?

No we shouldn't

He would be crying even moore than he is in a year after we gut the roster to pay him the 35ml a year he wants.

The team is already heading into next years with Williams,Armstead,Lattimore,Ramcyzk,Winston,Hill hitting free agency as as its stands 3.6ml in cap space(yes this will go up with what ever rise happens). I think its currently 35 players under contract for next season.

Need to pay our own players first and then look at others especially 35ml a year aging QBs. You would be taking the massive risk of heavily backloading a contract on a player that could decide to retire or whos arm could quickly deteriorate like Brees did

Of course they do and that's why we couldn't do it. There are not enough contracts remaining to rework to get what we already have and need (a few vets) as a minimum to fill the roster without trying to fit a Rodgers' base plus any sort of prorated portion into the 2021 limit. We still have the $11 million post-June 1st hit on Brees' contract to make room for, as well.

We currently have $833,487 in available cap on the top 51 players. We are over $13 million OVER the cap on the 79 players currently on the roster.
