My sleeper pick …

4.45 speed/40" vertical with huge hands(10.50) . Let's see what impression the 7th rounder makes at camp.

"Z" receiver type skill set in this offense.

Good luck.

He's got everything that the Saints are looking for in a WR. His highl9ghts look good. But then again don't they all? I can't wait for camp so I can pick my dark horse. We have several good candidates from our undrafted pool as well as last years additions but not nearly enough. This is one position where I believe that we do not have enough there to compete in the NFL after MT. Depth will be critical to our success this year.

I agree Rugs. The only exception might be CB. Losing CGM vs Losing Lattimore is a toss up. it’s honestly open tryouts for starters AND depth at both spots IMO.

Will he play all three WR slots? And Special Teams?

That would be a nice start. Detellier was really impressed with Kawaan's Pro day workout. In a way his big frame, skill set and speed kind of reminds me of the Niners WR Deebo.

I'm also interested in seeing how Sean Payton adapts to not having Brees under center. Callaway, Trequan were very good deep receivers in college & JW has a very strong arm.

Now if we could just work on his deep accuracy he would be better off. There are too many deep interceptions for someone who loves to chunk the deep ball.

Bruce Arians did Winston no favors. In his offense, the WR and QB must be on the same page. Hell even Tom Brady had 12 (tied for 4th most in the league) in 2020 for Tampa.

Winston will be better in the Saints offensive system.

Re: Saints Pick WR Kawaan Baker in the 7th round

Kawaan Baker has enormous hands (10.75) too.

I hope he shines enough to take Southlake (Jordan Humphrey) spot. We could really use a bonafide chain mover on those crucial 3rd downs.

Jordan, Easop Winston, Lampman aren't exactly "locks" at WR.
