Well... he's getting ribbed with a name like that once he hits TC. I'd be lying if I said I was not looking forward to his making the team. Fans will gravitate if he even comes close to breaking into the line up.

The first minute of the review … "he's the perfectly piece of molded clay" …

Trill has played outside, inside & some safety while at Syracuse. This sounds like a good developmental piece for Kris Richard.

Our cuts will be highly sought after. We will lose some very good players when we try to sneak them on the PS

This is also part of the reason I’m pulling for QB Book. Can’t wait to hear “Book It” shouted after many TD passes.

Someone explain how you "SNEAK" players? Do you fly all 31 other GM's into town and take them to Bourbon Street?

Trill does a lot of things well. I'm kind of surprised he wasn't drafted.

IMO he has a legitimate shot at making this team. Worse case, he's placed on the practice squad and we develop him.

He's my Darkhorse player for 2021.

If you were high on him there had to have been something that red flagged him for all 32 teams to pass. As I have always said, we as fans and even the so-called draft experts do not have access to everything that the teams have on these players.

What difference does it make AG? I'm pulling for Trill and hope he has an outstanding camp & makes this team just like my dark horse Callaway did last year. Scouts get it wrong on players all the time & hopefully Trill shows up and show out in a few months.

Not really sure why you have to be so critical of just about every post(s) someone here makes on players and/or coaches if it's not something you agree with.

You've got me completely wrong here, K. I'm pulling for him, too. I'm pulling for every player we drafted or signed. I hope he comes out of nowhere and becomes a stud. I simply mentioned that he possibly had some sort of red flag that caused all 32 teams to pass on him if you and others had him projected to go in the draft. I wasn't being critical. I was just sharing my thoughts on why he might have been passed over. It could have been something inconsequential overall, but just had teams not wanting to use a pick.

What round did you and/or the pundits have him pegged, out of curiosity?

79 players now on the active roster. Still 11 spots open. There's going to have to be a good number of UDFA's make the final 53 plus practice squad with our cap.

Oh, and K, can you point this fact out to JP? He seems to have an issue with this concept.

He can't help himself. He's a compulsive troller. The real mystery is how he manages to not get banned from the site.

Explain how I troll? I try my best to keep conversation going throughout the year. Is that trolling? I try to raise issues. How is that trolling? I screw with the many friends I have here on the site over the years by pushing their buttons. How is that trolling?

Maybe if you were more of a regular contributing member you'd understand, fry.

I beg to differ. Guido knows his stuff and enjoys a good debate bringing fresh thoughts in. He's never been argumentative and I respect and I like the research he does for the board that makes me think. He doesn't come across as mean to me. He may seem like a know it all but I agree with most of his assessments.. We all have opinions. We don't always agree but he brings a fresh perspective. It's a discussion board to learn new things with like minded fans.

I realize that discussion is different than lecturing but I can sit through both if I'm learning something.

You gotta give the guy credit for sticking with it. He hasn't been anywhere long enough to even rent it sounds.

Seriously, who wished we didn't have Willie Snead IV's production to complement @CantGuardMike these past three seasons?

And when I refer to production, let me be specific, his ability to convert on 3rd downs...

I still think SP gave up way too quickly on Snead. His ability to convert 3rd downs and compliment MT was great, he got in the bad books once and then SP was done with him.

Assuming that to be the case, he’s rarely been successful as the run stuffing DT, allowing successful run plays at exactly the 50% mark. In 2019, he stuffed runs only twice out of 166 run plays against him. 2020 wasn’t improved by any large margin either, but Washington only played 4 games, too small a sample to compare year over year. His best plays came as an end/edge putting pressure on the QB, evidenced by the video. How many designed run plays were shown as highlighted wrt his play?

I hope he makes the practice squad, but I don’t understand where he fits in the rotation. His best work comes as a pressure guy, and I just don’t see him breaking into that rotation. The Saints have him listed as the 3rd string LDT, behind Roach and Ringo. I hope he can be coached up to being a dedicated NT..., but that’ll take time.

I’m not sure how his playing End in a 3-4 translates to the LDT in a 4-3.

You have a good point there about casual fans reading the devils advocate remarks. Maybe we should follow that with a disclaimer stating that we really love each other and respect everything that posters say....or we could just not take it personally and answer with an intelligent rebuttal. Oh well, never mind. I'm just dreaming.
