what i expecdt from the saints tomorrow
i think deuce gets 120 and a td. i think horn gets 80-100 yards and a score. i think donte gets 50-70 yards and a score. i think arron throws 2 td's and 1 or 2 int's. where he throws them and how many could make the difference. most important is how duece gets going. if we can pound them arrons numbers improve. if we have to throw because of a weak d we are in trouble. i think peppers pressures arron and has a sack or two. brown will learn a lot and will be overmatched at times but should do pretty decent for a rookie against one of the best. our d is the biggest question mark and in my opinion it all starts up front. can we first stop the run. if not we all know what that leads too. our cb's play will be determined not completely but strongly by our ability to or not to stop the run. our pass rush. i expect big things from theese guys. especially from grant. he is going against a guy who is playing that position really for the first time in the nfl. he has to have a big game. if we can stop them on first and second and down and force them into pass situations we can really get after them. if we get beat down up front against the run we are in for a long one. we need long pounding drives. we need to be physical. one thing i noticed, and to be honest i guess under estimated, when watching the patriots the other night was their down right nasty defensive attitude. man they are physical. they beat you up. we need that type of attitude. i am certain more then i ever have been that that is why idny has had such problems beating them. we really need to get after some teams this year and hit them right ion the mouth. i think that is exactly what has wantsd to do. in the end all i care about is the w. i am already proud of theese guys for what they did with the hurricane victims but man if they loose sunday i am not going to be happy with them till about wednesday when my huirt goes away.

RE: what i expecdt from the saints tomorrow
I think we need to see a team play inspired football. Putting winning above all else... knowing we not only need a win to get the season off on the right foot but a win for the people. This season is bigger than all others... they have to show up and leave it on the field every game. There are no excuses this year. We don't have homefield... People living in shelters while the team lives in a 5 star hotel... we don't need to hear any excuses well this and that blah blah blah. WIN.

I think they dedicate the season to N.O., play their hearts out, and go deep into the playoffs.

They will need a few more leaders like Gandy to step forward for the required attitude adjustment.
<Life has never been tougher for the citizens of New Orleans. Football has never been tougher for their Saints. "Our situation is uncomfortable," Saints tackle Wayne Gandy said. "But for the people in New Orleans it's catastrophic." Gandy reminded his teammates of that a few days ago when some began grumbling about the vagabond life of a team with no home. He stood before the offense and told them they were lucky men, no matter where they played. Most still had homes, and they all still had their family. They still had jobs, no matter where they end up working at them. A lot of the people who used to pay to watch them play don't have any of that. "I was a little disgusted about people making at least six-figure incomes worrying about anything," Gandy said. "Sometimes you forget to think of the lesser man. Sometimes you forget to put things in perspective."> http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?...amp;id=2157266 |

Score one for Gandy. And pray he stays healthy - we're going to need him.
