How so? If the Saints were attempting to resign him he must have addressed their concern of the previously failed physical.

Weight gain. Weight loss. Some existing condition that required outside physician documentation. No telling, but very possible. It happens all the time at the beginning of camp. A player starts on preseason/PUP and two days later is activated.
